Ankita will be available for appointments every Friday from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, starting the first Friday of August.
You can book an appointment with Ankita directly, without a referral. If you have private health insurance with extras, you may be eligible for a rebate. Alternatively, you can be referred under a Care Plan for chronic conditions, which may entitle you to a Medicare rebate.

Standard consultations are 30 minutes. Patients can book longer appointments if they have multiple concerns.
What is a Care Plan (Chronic Disease Management Plan)?
A Care Plan is a document created by your GP for patients with a chronic medical condition that has been present for at least six months. This plan can give you access to a Medicare rebate for up to five allied health services, including physiotherapy, per calendar year. You will need a referral from your GP to be eligible.
What should I expect during my first appointment?
Your first appointment will involve a thorough assessment. Ankita will discuss your medical history, your symptoms, and your goals. She will then perform a physical examination to diagnose the problem and develop a personalised treatment plan, which may include hands-on therapy, dry needling, and a home exercise program.
How much does a physiotherapy session cost, and can I get a rebate?
The cost of your session depends on whether you are a private patient, on a Care Plan, or claiming through WorkCover or CTP. You may be eligible for a rebate if you have private health insurance with extras cover. For patients with a GP-issued Care Plan, Medicare offers a rebate for up to five sessions per calendar year.
Do I need a referral from a doctor to book a physiotherapy appointment?
No, you don’t need a referral to see a physiotherapist for a private consultation. However, a referral is required if you are claiming through a Care Plan (Chronic Disease Management Plan) with Medicare, or if you are claiming through WorkCover or a CTP (motor vehicle accident) insurer.
